"Let's Talk About Water" Art Exhibit -- CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!

The University of Florida Student Chapter of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) is partnering with the UF Water Institute and the CUAHSI to host "Let's Talk About Water," a campus-wide discussion about water, including a documentary screening of "Last Call at the Oasis," an expert panel & discussion, and an art exhibit, featuring pieces by YOU: students of the University of Florida.

The art show will take place on February 15, 2016, following the screening of "Last Call at the Oasis" at Ustler Hall. The exhibit will be a showcase of students' water-related art of any medium (photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, etc...). Both undergraduates and graduate students of any discipline/major are invited to submit artwork or any questions to jennifermadler@ufl.edu. The deadline for submissions is JANUARY 15, 2016. 






More details: 

  • We are limited to 25 pieces in the exhibit; pieces will be selected by the AWRA board and we will confirm your selection shortly after the January 15th deadline.
  • Your piece will be on display at Ustler Hall for the evening of February 15 during a reception that will take place following the screening of Last Call at the Oasis
  • Admission to the documentary screening and reception are free, but you do need to sign up ahead of time (we will post the link here when registration begins)
  • If you are selected, please arrive at Ustler Hall at 5:00pm with your piece of artwork -- for photographs, paintings, etc., there will be easels set up, and there will be tables for other pieces.
